2014 Sport Four Driver Roster

Sport Four

As the name implies, the Sport-Four division is for Four Cylinder cars only, and is designed for beginners as well as seasoned drivers who like racing this type of car. Cars raced in this division must use steel bodied cars, either foreign or domestic, and the chassis must be original for the body used. Some modifications can be made to the chassis and body, but are limited and are checked by track officials. Engines are also allowed some minor modification, and weight rules for the cars are governed by the size of the engine used. Tires for these cars can be purchased from the track, or regular passenger car tires meeting track specifications can be used. Rules for this division can be found under the “Saturday Racing Rules” tab on the website. The Sport-Four division is a good division for the beginner to learn about racing, but there are many experienced drivers in the division that will make winning a race a challenge not to be taken lightly. Most of the cars in the division are front wheel drive, but rear wheel drive four cylinder cars are also used and are competitive. Sport-Fours run a 25 lap feature with some extended length races scheduled during the season.
